This presentation focus on three main aspects of the Guillermo O'Donnell work. First of all, his undeniable and extensive contribution to the Argentine Political Science promoted the construction of disciplinary knowledge. Secondly, his contribution to the institutionalization of Political Science and closely linked to this, the possibility to build scientific and academic journals.
