In this article we analize the place of politics in secondary education, taking into account the school everyday and the native categories of politics developed by the teachers. The Fieldwork was made in two high schools located in the outskirts of the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe. They are both are located in contexts of social inequality, reason why these establishments share certain problems, but they also have particular institutional policies that shape and are shaped by the teachers representations. Our ethnographic approach allows us to provide multiple senses to politics, wich come from the analysis of their uses by the teachers and from the classification systems that articulate with these meanings. That is why we consider the concepts built around to the education, the commitment, the inequality and the participation, categories that when reflected, habilitates the teachers position, classifiing theirselfs and their colleagues.
