Resumen

VILLAGRA, E.L.; MAX, J.A.; TOFFOLI, L.M.  y  PEDRAZA, R.O.. Evaluation of growth and productive performance of the strawberry crop (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense. Rev. agron. noroeste arg. [online]. 2021, vol.41, n.1, pp.57-78.  Epub 29-Jun-2021. ISSN 0080-2069.

The global trend in agriculture, is to reduce environmental pollution caused by agrochemicals. Argentina is the third South American producer of strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) And it tends to reduce the use of synthetic inputs, as well as the search and gradual incorporation of alternative products, in case of the bio-inputs. In this study, the growth and productive performance of strawberries were evaluated, inoculated with native strains of Azospirillum brasilense, as an alternative to promote plant growth, production and environmentally friendly nutrition. Work was done at Finca El Manantial, Tucumán. Two strains were used: REC3 (endophytic, isolated from F. x ananassa) and 2A1 (isolated from Petunia sp.). The cultivar ʻCamino Realʼ were inoculated independently, by root immersion in bacterial suspension (106 CFU·ml-1). On tables lined with black polyethylene, it was implanted in plastic pots (12 l) and in the open air. The treatments were: uninoculated plants; plants inoculated with REC3 and plants inoculated with 2A1. Morpho-physiological parameters of plants and fruit yield (commercial and total) were evaluated. With totally randomized design (3x3), by ANOVA and Tukey's Test, it was determined that the inoculation had a growth-promoting effect on plants. The association A. brasilense-plant and response according to the origin of the strains was evidenced. REC3 and 2A1 outperformed the control. REC3 achieved a commercial fruit yield 14 % higher than 2A1. There was T-cv, interaction and genotype specificity. It is necessary to deepen studies on the management/action of A. brasilense, to increase use/benefit in the strawberry commercial production.
