Resumen

FERRARI, Mónica  y  BRUNA, Luis. Readings of landscape: El Aguilar in the Jujuy Puna. An. Inst. Arte Am. Investig. Estét. Mario J. Buschiazzo [online]. 2022, vol.52, n.2, pp.1-19. ISSN 2362-2024.

To the northwest of Argentina, in the Jujuy highlands, El Aguilar Depression, a typical Andean landscape characterized by the richness and diversity of its little-known natural and cultural resources, is located. Although in geographical representations it appears as a void, and despite the inhospitable nature of the environment, anthropic action left its mark with identifiable components in different degrees of visibility. From dispersed rural human settlements, in harmonious relationship with nature, to villages that reveal the history of 91 years of mining exploitation, it is possible to recognize the presence and interaction of components in a fascinating setting. The objective of this work was to approach readings of the Aguilareño landscape that lead to identify and expand the visibility of its components as parts of a system. Methodologically, it worked on the comparative analysis of satellite cartography with published images, through interpretation and cross-linking of key data.

Palabras clave : El Aguilar; landscape reading; landscape resources; Jujuy; XXIst Century.
