Resumen

SALDANA, Alfredo. On populism and counterpower in contemporary poetry. CELEHIS [online]. 2018, n.35, pp.1-5. ISSN 2313-9463.

We bet here on finding a place where theory and poetry can meet, as the latter does not tell stories or invent worlds but rather modifies through language the relationships we maintain with them. Hence, poetry and theory can share a critical and revolutionary component that relies on the transformation of writing, meaning, life. A poetry and a theory thus understood arise from permanent restlessness and instability, from a scenario bounded by precariousness and the same emancipatory zeal. Further, against any doctrinal and uncritical conception of thought, they never fail to generate unprecedented situations of reality.

Palabras clave : Contemporary Poetry; Theory; Populism; Counterpower; Reality.
