PADAWER, Ana; SCARFO, Gabriela; RUBINSTEIN, Marina e VISINTIN, Marina. Social Movements And Education: Debates About Childhood And Youth Transitions In Diverse Contexts Of Socialization. Intersecciones antropol. [online]. 2009, vol.10, n.1, pp.141-153. ISSN 1850-373X.
Children's and youth's rights laws, which have been approved in Argentina during 2005, produced a new context for relations between generations that must be analyzed by considering the social process that are their foundation. NGO and State policies and academic debates about citizenship are both antecedents to the new legislation but have also had to change their activities and concepts in order to conform to the new regulations. This article refers to three socialization contexts: a social movement of NGOs with Union support; a social movement with a territorial base; and a "recovered factories" movement. In all of them new perspectives are found which informed and produced the socialization of children and youth and established new relations between generations, enabling such regulations to be analyzed in terms of autonomy and protection, key concepts in the legislative changes.
