COHEN DE CHERVONAGURA, Elisa. Immigration and women: from marginality to an archetype. Cuad. Fac. Humanid. Cienc. Soc., Univ. Nac. Jujuy [online]. 2001, n.17, pp.101-115. ISSN 1668-8104.
The migratory movement produced especially at the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX Centuries in Europe and America brought about systems of collective representations and symbolic universes evidenced specially in women´s testimonial language, generally established at the margin of institutions. We are interested in specially, one case, a woman in the furthest extreme, most rejected of the social fabric because of her being a prostitute, this leads to a polarized discourse that allows us to see that the social imaginary gives way to a social mobility that presents ideological elements that due to certain characteristics in the personal history of the subject we have studied, which constitutes an effective exercise of power within the community in Tucumán.
