CHERNICOFF, C.J. e ZAPPETTINI, E.O.. The Upper Paleozoic Arizona basin, southeastern San Luis, Argentina: southern extension of the Paganzo basin. Rev. Asoc. Geol. Argent. [online]. 2007, vol.62, n.2, pp.321-324. ISSN 0004-4822.
The Arizona basin, southern San Luis, is interpreted as the southern extension of the Paganzo basin. Its minimum thickness is in the order of magnitude of 1,000 m, as indicated both by field observations as well as by the modeling of gravimetric data. This basin (and associated depocenters, aligned in the N-S direction) would have been originated by a pull-apart mechanism, controlled by the Chanic (Upper Devonian) deformation, which reactivated the Lonco Vaca-Valle Daza fault.
