Abstract

In this contribution we present the principalcharacteristics of an area with epithermal mineralization located nearEstancias San Pedro and La Evelina, in the central portion of the DeseadoMassif. These mineral concentrations, constituted by quartz veins and veinlets,and with high amounts of Mn, Fe, Sb, Tl, Hg y As, represent an ore type withonly a few precedents in this geological province. The geochemical,microthermometrical, stables isotopes and mineralogical studies revealed forthese deposits a structurally high position inside the epithermal system.
