In environmental studies, the land use areas are defined as sensitive zones taking into account an eventual exploitation of the uranium resources. Since 2007, the hydrochemistry of the surrounding areas of the Pichiñan Este Uranium district has been monitored. According major, minor and trace elements geochemistry the water quality and its potential use are determined. These results are informed to the members of the different communities and reported to the environmental authority of the Chubut province. In general, water quality in every sampling station remains constant while the observed minor variations can be attributed to natural causes.
