Abstract

LARSEN, Cristian; MARTINEZ, Olga G.  and  PONCE, M. Mónica. New records in ferns from Northwestern Argentina. Darwiniana [online]. 2010, vol.48, n.1, pp.100-108. ISSN 0011-6793.

Campyloneurum angustipaleatum (Polypodiaceae), Elaphoglossum sellowianum (Dryopteridaceae), Hymenophyllum crispum and H. polyanthos (Hymenophyllaceae) are recorded for the first time for Argentina, and H. capurroi for Jujuy and Salta provinces. Although their presence was not unexpected because they are known from Bolivia, these records indicate that the fern flora of the Yungas and its neighboring areas in Argentina deserve more intensive exploration to increase the knowledge of its diversity.

Keywords : Argentina; Campyloneurum; Elaphoglossum; Hymenophyllum; southern Yungas.
