Abstract

ARANA, Marcelo D. et al. Aloe maculata: Xanthorroeaceae), primer registro para la flora argentina. Darwiniana [online]. 2012, vol.50, n.1, pp.148-153. ISSN 0011-6793.

Aloe maculata, a petaloid monocot native from South Africa, is recorded as a member of the spontaneous flora of Argentina. This species occurs in different habitats from Córdoba province, Argentina. The aim of this work is to determine its residential status and propose novel diagnostic characters to identify this species, together with ecological observations. The species is illustrated and a distribution map is provided.
