Verbascum is a genus of herbs native from Eurasia and northern Africa, with two species cited as naturalized for the Argentinean Flora (V. virgatum and V. thapsus). In this paper the presence of a natural population of V. blattaria in Argentina is reported for the first time. Specimens were collected in the Sierras de Azul, Tandilia System, Buenos Aires province on December 2017 and April 2018. A description of the morphology of the species and habitat, a map of the collection site and a germination test based on collected seeds are provided. A key to differentiate the three species of Verbascum species that grow in Argentina is provided.
