Abstract

MORESCHI, Osvaldo M.  and  CASTELLANO, Gustavo. Geometric approach to non-holonomic problems satisfying Hamilton's principle. Rev. Unión Mat. Argent. [online]. 2006, vol.47, n.2, pp.125-135. ISSN 0041-6932.

The dynamical equations of motion are derived from Hamilton's principle for systems which are subject to general non-holonomic constraints. This derivation generalizes results obtained in previous works which either only deal with the linear case or make use of D'Alembert's or Chetaev's conditions.
