Abstract

CHEBEZ, Juan C.; CASTILLO, Rodrigo  and  GULLER, Roberto M.. Reportings on hummingbirds from northeastern Argentina. Hornero [online]. 2004, vol.19, n.1, pp.1-5. ISSN 0073-3407.

We confirmed the presence of Heliomaster longirostris, previously considered hypothetical, for Argentina, and reported for the first time the presence of Amazilia lactea and Aphantochroa cirrochloris. Film footage was taken of the first of these species, while all three were recorded using still photography. The three species are also new to Misiones Province. We also report new observations of Chrysolampis mosquitus for the country.

Keywords : Amazilia lactea; Aphantochroa cirrochloris; Argentina; Chrysolampis mosquitus; Heliomaster longirostris; Hummingbirds; Misiones.
