Abstract

ARAOZ, Rodrigo; ORTIZ, Diego  and  BARBOZA, Exequiel. Description of the nest, eggs and juveniles of the Brown-capped Whitestart (Myioborus brunniceps): differences with previous descriptions. Hornero [online]. 2017, vol.32, n.2, pp.277-280. ISSN 0073-3407.

The Brown-capped Whitestart (Myioborus brunniceps) is distributed in Andean forests of Bolivia and Argentina; it nests in the montane forest and descends to winter in the piedmont and Chaco areas. In this work, we describe nests, eggs and juveniles observed in Tucumán, Catamarca and Jujuy. The observations are compared with previous descriptions, finding important differences in the shape of the nest.
