KATSICAS, María Martha; BONSIGNORE, Fabiana; CIOCCA, Mirta and RUSSO, Ricardo. Osteoartropatía hipertrófica hepática en un niño con enfermedad colestática. Arch. argent. pediatr. [online]. 2005, vol.103, n.2, pp.162-164. ISSN 0325-0075.
Hepatic hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is a rare condition associated with severe liver diseases, especially those causing chronic cholestasis. It is defined by arthritis, digital clubbing and periosteal reaction. We report a patient with hepatic disease and persistent cholestasis who developed hepatic hypertrophic ostearthropathy and disabling arthritis. His symptoms and radiological findings resolved after successful liver transplantation.
