Abstract

COMITE NACIONAL DE ENDOCRINOLOGIA. Practical approach to management of gynecomastia: Six questions to be answered by the paediatrician regarding a patient with gynecomastia. Arch. argent. pediatr. [online]. 2011, vol.109, n.4, pp.365-368. ISSN 0325-0075.

Pubertal gynecomastia is a common concern in the consultation of the adolescent. Usually, it is accompanied by an emotional component that can lead to changes in everyday attitudes of youth. The responsability of the pediatrician is to rule out other etiologies, to avoid unnecessary additional studies, to limit active therapeutic attitudes, and to reaffrm the variation of normality. We briefy describe six eminently practical questions to be answered by the physician.
