This essay presents the creation process of an extensive rural estate at Lebrija (Seville) carried out by the Head Accountant of the "Casa de la Contratación", Juan López de Recalde", between 1515 and 1528, as well as that of the "mayorazgo" he founded in Madrid in the year 1528 with that estate and its rents.
