The foundation of the Junta para Ampliación de Estudios (1907) and the Centro de Estudios Históricos (1910) was of use to a group of Spanish researchers and intellectuals, who aimed to revitalize the studies of scientific disciplines in Spain. Eduardo de Hinojosa and Claudio Sánchez-Albornoz were heads of a historical juridical school in the Centro de Estudios Históricos, which became an outstanding model for scientific work in Spain. That school was devoted to give the country a new interpretation of its history and cultural roots.
