The present work addresses the campaign carried out by a portion of the West Guarani army in the province of Santa Fe, in 1819, under the command of Commander Francisco Sití. The study analyzes documentation of an unprecedented nature in the General Archive of the Province of Santa Fe, made up of the lists of Guarani troops published in April 1819 at the Santa Fe headquarters. This documentary collection allows us to reconstruct the social composition of the troops, from which a series of conclusions are drawn up linked to the structuring of the leaderships among the Guarani, whose ancestral conceptions are put into tension after the revolution, independence and civil strife in the coastal area.
