Electrochemical determination of chondroitin sulfate (CS) was established with crystal violet. Under the optimal conditions, the decrease of the current was proportional to CS concentration in the range from 1.5 to 20.0 mg/L. The method was successfully applied to determine the CS content in synthetic samples.
