Abstract

HERNANDEZ RODRIGUEZ, Alfonso. Herejía y exégesis bíblica en el siglo IX según Haymon de Auxerre. Temas Mediev. [online]. 2006, vol.14, pp.31-69. ISSN 0327-5094.

This article starts with an analysis of the assumption that during the Carolingian period biblical exegesis responded not only to the internal logic of the Scriptures, but that it also reflected the historical frame within which the exegeses were produced. Following this method the author arrives at the meaning of the word heresy as used by Haymon d' Auxerre in his Commentary to Oseas, explaining it in the light of the theological and political discussions which took place around the middle of the ninth century in the monastic world of   the Carolingian empire.

Keywords : Heresy; Exegesis; Haymon de Auxerre.
