Abstract

New data on ectoparasitic insects (Diptera: Nycteribiidae: Basilia andersoni Peterson & Maa and B. plaumanni Scottand Siphonaptera: Ischnopsyllidae: Myodopsylla isidori (Weyenbergh) of four species of vespertilionid bats: Eptesicus furinalis (d´Orbigny), Myotis albescens (Geoffroy), M. levis (Geoffroy) and M. riparius (Handley) are given. The known distribution of B. plaumanni is extended, and for the first time is cited associated with E. furinalis in Uruguay. The host species list for B. andersoni is increased as well.
