Resumen
Nuevas localidades en el centro de Bolivia para la especie endémica Abrocoma boliviensis (Rodentia: Abrocomidae). Mastozool. neotrop. [online]. 2016, vol.23, n.1, pp.165-170. ISSN 0327-9383.
We report two new records for Abrocoma boliviensis from the Interandean Dry Forest ecoregion in central Bolivia. The first record is based on a specimen found dead on a trail in Torotoro National Park (Potosi Department). The second record is based on a photograph obtained near Padilla (Chuquisaca Department). We report features of the morphology and behavior of the specimens and describe characteristics of habitat where they were found. Next to nothing is known of the biology of this Bolivian endemic, which is one of South America’s most critically endangered mammal.
