The main character of fifth letter of Epistolaí of Aristaenetus comes from the literary identity of Medea of third book of Apollonius Rhodius' Argonautica. Thus, the letter points out as an interesting example of a text rewriting the third book of the poem, wich, fueled by sapphic memory of symptoms of love, is considered a point of expansion and diffusion of some theoretical nucleus of greek-latin erotic poetry.
