This study findsthat in the Prologue of Ajax are the fundamental characteristics of thetheatre of Sophocles, as Lesky has affirmed in "Sophokles und dasHumane". The guidelinesthat the criticconsidersthemostrelevantofthe author'thinkingareenumerated and analyzed in the first scene of the play. Finally, theconclusions are expressed.
