Resumen
VERANO, Rodrigo. Oralidad y escritura en el diálogo platónico. Synthesis (La Plata) [online]. 2017, vol.24, n.2, pp.7-8. ISSN 0328-1205. http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/1851779xe020.
This paper approaches the interrelation between oral and written speech in Plato's dialogues from a linguistic perspective. By means of a methodological framework provided by the recent studies focused on the spoken/written variation, a twofold model is proposed to examine Platonic dialogues in the crossroads of the two communicative situations involved in them: the one between author and reader and the one inside the literary fiction. A case study based on Republic shows how the paraphrases constructed as mere appositions can be interpreted as features related to the spoken bias present in the text.
