Abstract

AUTINO, Analía G.; CLAPS, Guillermo L.  and  ORTIZ, Félix. The first record of Sternopsylla distincta speciosa (Siphonaptera: Ischnopsyllidae) for the Jujuy Province, Argentina. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2005, vol.64, n.1-2, pp.34-36. ISSN 0373-5680.

The presence of the ectoparasites fleas of bats are cited for the first time for Jujuy. Is recorded Sternopsylla distincta speciosa Johnson on Tadarida brasiliensis (Geoffroy) (Chiroptera: Vespertilionidae). In addition comments are made on the characters of external morphology and genital structures of the two subspecies: Sternopsylla distincta speciosa Johnson and Sternopsylla distincta distincta (Rothschild).
