Abstract
ANDORNO, Andrea V.; LOPEZ, Silvia N. and BOTTO, Eduardo N.. Aphid-parasitoid associations (Hemiptera: Aphididae; Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Aphidiinae) on organic vegetable crops in Los Cardales, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2007, vol.66, n.1-2, pp.171-175. ISSN 0373-5680.
Ten aphid species (Hemiptera: Aphididae) were found parasitized by seven aphid parasitoid species (Hymenoptera: Braconidae, Aphidiinae) on organic vegetable crops. Myzus persicae (Sulzer) was the most frequent aphid found on a wide variety of crops, with the largest parasitoid diversity associated. Aphidius colemani Viereck was the most frequent aphidiine attacking several species of aphids. Eight tritrophic associations involving Aphidius matricariae Haliday are reported for the first time for Argentina.
