Abstract

OCAMPO, Federico C.. The Argentinean dung beetle genus Anomiopsoides (Scarabaeidae: Scarabaeinae: Eucraniini): description of a new species, and new synonymies for A. heteroclyta. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2007, vol.66, n.3-4, pp.159-168. ISSN 0373-5680.

The taxonomy of the genus Anomiopsoides Blackwelder is revised. The species A. catamarcae Martínez and A. aurita (Burmeister) are placed in synonymy with A. heteroclyta (Blanchard). Anomiopsoides fedemariai sp. nov. is described from Argentina. The genus Anomiopsoides now consists of four species: A. biloba (Burmeister), A. cavifrons (Burmeister), A. fedemariai sp. nov. and A. heteroclyta (Blanchard). A key is presented for the identification of the species of Anomiopsoides.

Keywords : Dung beetles; Monte biogeographic province; Scarabaeinae; Eucraniini.
