Abstract

PIETRANTUONO, Ana; ARHEX, Valeria Fernández  and  BRUZZONE, Octavio A.. New record of Notofenusa surosa (Konow, 1905) (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae) from northern Argentine Patagonia. Rev. Soc. Entomol. Argent. [online]. 2013, vol.72, n.1-2, pp.105-110. ISSN 0373-5680.

The genus Notofenusa was first described in 1959 from Argentina and Chile. Subsequently, in 1973 the presence of Notofenusa surosa in the Nothofagus forest is confirmed. The aim of this note is to provide information about the features that allow its identification and the ecological aspects related to its habit as a leaf miner insect. The identification of these specimens was performed through taxonomic keys with the support of scanning electron microscope photographs

Keywords : Leaf-mining insects; Nothofagaceae; Sawfly.
