Abstract

LITERAS, Luciano. Poder y política en una tribu de indios amigos: La sublevación y el liderazgo de Carri-llang (1852-1862). Bol. Inst. Hist. Argent. Am. Dr. Emilio Ravignani [online]. 2017, n.47, pp.31-62. ISSN 0524-9767.

The article analyses the changes and persistence of the inter-ethnic relations in the western Buenos Aires (Argentina) frontier with Pampa and North-Patagonia after the overturn of Rosas' government in 1852. To this end, it approaches Cristobal Carri-llang´s uprising and his leadership in the tribe of Rondeau (Cruz de Guerra and Mulitas, Veinticinco de Mayo), emphasizing the bonds, reasons and socio-political interests that intervened in indios amigos´ agency during all these years.
