The objective of this paper was to analyze the work-health-diseases relationships that involves blowtorch workers activities, in shipyard located in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The qualitative methodology used by the theorical basis of ergology, designed by interviewing a particular manufactory ship blowtorch workers. The results evinced that, even though all the activities seemed to be, apparently the same, the blowtorch workers had the habit of develop their work`s activities in a singular way. Theses aspects could be realized by analyzing the uses of itself, through the achievement to extra hours and to the use of equipment, important things that also implies to the worker health.
