In the last twenty fives years Latin American was the stage of the redefinition of the historic relationship between nation-states and its historical otherness. The summation of the dominant's narratives and the particular correlation of -domestic and intemational- forces, resulted in the way in which each latin american state responded to the global process of identity's politicization. In our country the foundational myth of the white and european Argentina, operated in a particular way at the time of stately managing and processing the historic and actual racial difference, inside the global framework of recognition, protection and celebration of diversity. In this way, the relation between nation and race was constructed and reconstructed at differents records, according to the possibilities and interests of the current government. The aim of this paper is to comparatively analyse the state policies implemented for the afro descendant population during the neoliberal period (c.1989-2001), and the kirchnerista one (2003-2015) with the objective of tracking down continuities and ruptures, as well as the inherent limits of the argentinian's national formation of otherness.
