The work examines the process of political formation of the militants of the Juventudes PRO of Vicente López and San Fernando. Analyzing the formation and functioning of the groups in institutional contexts of government and municipal opposition, will allow us to understand the experiences and forms of political participation that escape traditional research on the militants of the Federal Capital. In this regard, we will use the notion of militant careers to record in each formative stage the various degrees of commitment, the apprehension of knowledge and skills, and the importance of networks of personal relationships both for access to government positions and for the continuity of the young people in the group. The discoveries are part of a fieldwork developed between October 2017 and November 2018 in those municipalities of the province of Buenos Aires; which consists of a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews with militants, observations of participants in political activities and analysis of publications on social networks and web pages of the Juventudes PRO.
