Abstract

INFESTA, María Elena. From the country to the "tabladas": The cattle commerce in Buenos Aires 1830-1840. Structure and dynamics of the system. Mundo agr. [online]. 2010, vol.11, n.21, pp.00-00. ISSN 1515-5994.

This article analyze the commercialization system of cattle introduced in Buenos Aires to city and "saladeros" consume during 1830 and 1840, studying the normatives and infraestructure support that allowed a constant and regular flux of transactions from the production to the consume point. Cattle rising main areas and the organization and evolution of the markets to its final destination are identified.Furthermore, the main actors who take part in the circuit as vendors, drivers and buyers of the cows are specially emphasized.
