Abstract

HERNANDEZ FLORES, José Álvaro  and  MARTINEZ CORONA, Beatriz. Peasant reproduction and local knowledge in contexts of social and environmental fragility: Family and community strategies in the mountain range of Tentzo, México. Mundo agrar. [online]. 2016, vol.17, n.35, pp.00-00. ISSN 1515-5994.

The article presents results of research conducted in the city of San Antonio Juarez, Tzicatlacoyan township, in the state of Puebla, Mexico. The objective was to determine the reproductive strategies of domestic groups peasants, facing adverse environmental conditions that severely restrict the development of agriculture. From qualitative and quantitative techniques, it was found the presence of different reproduction strategies, at the neighborhood level, based on local knowledge, the gender division of labor and domestic level organization and community group.
