Resumen

BALDUZZI, María Matilde. Social representations of university students and relationship with the knowledge. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2011, vol.21, n.2, pp.183-218. ISSN 1515-9485.

The purpose of this report is to expose the outcome of a research, whose main objective was to identify the social representations of the students from the Human Science's Faculty of the National University from the Province of Buenos Aires, in which the relationship with the knowledge is mainly expressed in a passive way. The social representations of the students as regards the knowledge, studies, tests, and the teaching and learning processes, together with the attributions about the teachers inside of the institution in which the subjects interact and build their social identity, are considered here. The importance of their study is mainly related to the fact that social representations and attributions are prescriptive of behaviours, because they define what is licit, tolerable or unacceptable in a given context. Fragments of the students' discourse will be analyzed, which will stand as proof of those symbolic and imaginary productions. Finally, some of the results of the research will be outlined in relation with the educative field.

Palabras clave : Social representations; Attributions; University students; Education; University.
