PETITTI, Eva Mara. Politics and education in the province of Buenos Aires during the first Peronism: institutional restructuring and incorporation of new actors (1946-1952). Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2013, vol.23, n.2. ISSN 1515-9485.

The education policy during first Peronism has been read from the academic world from the perspective of democratization and indoctrination. The aim of this paper is to address the relationship between public education and the state. More specifically we analyze the administrative and institutional restructuring of the Directorate General of Schools and the creation of the Ministry of Education, and the impact of these reforms on the introduction of new actors. We believe that these changes are related to a new concept of education that has been expressed in two ways. On one hand, involved a new relationship between education and politics and the decline of the importance of primary education as pivotal to educational governance. On the other hand, meant a broader conception that literacy and change not only quantitative but also qualitative.
