Abstract

OLTRA ALBIACH, Miguel A. The puppet as learning object: proposed definitions and typologies. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.1. ISSN 1515-9485.

Puppet theater has been configured along the time as a valuable tool for education in all its levels. There are many professionals who offer their theoretical reflections and practical experiences to make them available to teachers. However, in many cases the practical work with puppets in the classroom is hampered by the lack of technical knowledge of the puppet as objects and its possibilities by education professionals. This article aims to do a review of the current status of research in definitions and typologizing of puppets, an aspect of vital importance if we want to make optimal use of these little teaching assistants in the classroom.

Keywords : puppets; education; classroom drama; theatre.
