Abstract

PASCUAL, Liliana. Postgraduate training in educational research: an analysis from subjects’ voices. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2014, vol.24, n.2, pp.173-194. ISSN 1515-9485.

In this work, we analyzed the postgraduate training in educational research by non-university educators, focusing on the complexities involved in the teaching and educational research relationship. The article presents part of the results obtained in a research project developed in the suburbs of Buenos Aires Province during 2011 and 2012. A qualitative approach based on interviews was used. The results obtained show the important role research has in the professional development of the educators, evidence the specificity of the research activity, question the possibility of undertaking both an educator-research role in a simultaneous way, and highlight that having a training on research contributes mainly to the development of reflexive professionals who are able to rethink and transform their own practice.

Keywords : postgraduate training; Educational research.
