Sociology of school inequalities are always based on a priori conceptions of school justice. Can be distinguished three broad conceptions: equality of access, equality of opportunity and equality of results. These conceptions are contradictory and, in practice, the various school systems in a singular way combine. Beyond these conceptions of scholar justice, also necessary pay attention for the justice of the weight of school certificates and merit in the social fate of individuals. Finally, if school grades have unequal private utilities, the justice issue of who should pay arises.
