Abstract

MACHADO, Mercedes  and  GRINBERG, Silvia. ¿Schooling as lines of flight? Education, youths and future in context of urban poverty. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2017, vol.27, n.2, pp.231-252. ISSN 1515-9485.

What are you going to be when you grow up? It is a question that in various ways (we) goes through at some point in life. Those born in the XXI century in the context of urban poverty are not strangers to this question and the very possibility of imagining future constitutes turning point. Far from the apocalyptic rhetoric that weigh on these spaces and subjects who inhabit that deny present and future, young people have other ways to address the issue. Express-ing the desire and fear that produces the desired morning becomes a strategy of resistance that arises and subsists on the edges of the metropo-lis, as margins of the thinkable and sometimes also of the speakable. We recover for this research work done in schools we find emplaced in contexts of urban poverty in the metropolitan region of Buenos Aires.

Keywords : lines of flight, future, secondary schools, urban poverty..
