Abstract

BILANSKI, Gisele. Validation and Uses of Scientific-Academic Knowledge: Towards a Community University of Experiential Knowledge. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2018, vol.28, n.2, pp.33-48. ISSN 1515-9485.

This paper explores the configuration and public validation of knowledge at university; advocating for a type of knowledge that we called practical, applied or experiential, which is by definition shared and collective and aims to a university capable of serving to the development within and of the society. In parallel, we briefly address some issues such as the democratic value that science and technology may have; the unclear boundaries between culture and science when thinking about "training" and the question of the usefulness of science. The proposal is to think about a university community that can be thought as a "community of practice".
