The purpose of the following article is to de- scribe creation process and organizational and educational characteristics of school from the Project of Creation of New Secondary Schools with National Universities (PCNESUN – Proyecto de Creación de Nuevas Escuelas Secundarias con Universidades Nacionales), started in  2013 within the framework of the educational policies aimed to ensure compulsory secondary school. Some of these characteristics are: priority attention to students from vulnerable sectors, Ministry of Education (ME) financing, covering of teaching positions and appointing, extended school day, among others. This article describes a case study that can be considered a pilot project within the innovations in secondary school level. The features described in this case are different from traditional organi- zation and educational format and may consti- tute a special political and educational “style”, contributing to secondary school democratization.
