The aim of the paper is to pose reflections that arise from the fieldwork of the following piece of research work "The construction of learning strategies by university students: a new challenge of learn to learn" In the same, it is posed as scientific problem is the contribution of Educational Orientation of the teacher for the formation and development of learning strategies in their students. Taking into account the problem arises, among others, the following research questions: What is the theoretical and methodological basis to establish the relationship between educational orientation and learning strategies at the university context? Which actions can be posed from the educational orientation perspective so that the teacher can implement and develop students’ learning strategies? While the methodological proposal is based on a qualitative approach, the advances outlined above derive from the stage of collection, analysis and systematization of the information obtained and the initiation of some proposed co-training actions.
