Abstract

VILLAR-AGUILES, Alícia  and  HERNANDEZ I DOBON, Francesc Jesús. Decisions of higher education students according to the social environment. A conjecture based on reflexivity, biograficity and empirical research. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2019, vol.29, n.2, pp.1-10. ISSN 1515-9485.

The aim of this paper is to present an epistemological    conjecture    that    combines     a framework of analysis based on reflective capacity, as an intrinsic part of the development of qualitative social research, which we refer to the leap from the empirical to the theoretical, as well as incorporating the theoretical perspective of biograficity for the study of higher education pathways. This proposal arises from our own research experience acquired in varied researches within a line on transitions and trajectories in higher education in the Spanish system. To frame this leap from the empirical to the theoretical we present, as a result, to reflective conjecture based on those researches carried out and that can be considered as a scientific proposition that is supposed to be true but have not yet had a complete demonstration. However, its formulation supposes an exercise in itself of epistemological reflexivity that seeks to contribute to the advance in social research in higher education.

Keywords : Epistemology, educational higher education, reflexivity, biograficity decisions,.
