Resumen

PATRIARCA, María Celeste  y  ROVELLI, Laura Inés. The promotion of the Councils of Deans in the face of the complexity of the university government in Argentina: The case of CONFEDI. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.1, pp.165-180.  Epub 01-Jun-2021. ISSN 1515-9485.  http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb31-294.

The article analyzes the interactions between the discipline, represented by the Engineering and nucleated in the Federal Council of Deans of Engineering Faculties of the Argentine Republic (CONFEDI), a government agency of university policies, the University Policies Secretary (SPU), an intermediate university coordination body, the National Interuniversity Council (CIN), within the framework of the design and implementation of actions aimed at improving quality in Engineering, during de last two decades. The theoretical territory benefits from the analysis of public policies and the studies on the university, while the approach is qualitative. The central argument argues that during the period studied the university government has become more complex from different levels, instances and actors, to which the influential participation of the disciplines, in this case the Engineering, is added, in the form of a “promoter coalition”.

Palabras clave : university government; design and implementation; quality improvement; engineering; promoting coalition.
