SUAREZ, Daniel. Narrative research, narrative of experience and revitalization of pedagogical knowledge. Espac. blanco, Ser. indagaciones [online]. 2021, vol.31, n.2, pp.365-380. ISSN 1515-9485. http://dx.doi.org/10.37177/unicen/eb31-308.
Narrative research generated a shift in the ways of researching education. Likewise, devices centred on the construction of accounts of experience have become widespread in the field of teacher training. However, their potential to encourage the participation of teachers in research and co-training processes has not been sufficiently explored. This article adds to the debate by describing the contributions of narrative documentation to pedagogical research and to the participation of teachers in collective processes of narrative and autobiographical enquiry. My argument revolves around the idea that the narrative reconstruction of teachers’ experiences constitutes a key moment in the revitalisation of pedagogy as a field of knowledge, experience and discourse and an enclave of affirmative resistance to the onslaught of the policies of destitution of teachers’ professional identity.
